A downloadable game for macOS

Asteroids is a lovely classic retro game. This is an early prototype of a remake of Asteroids with Lua and the Love2D framework.

Hop on your space vehicle and destroy all asteroids to win the game!

Currently included game features are:

Asteroids split when stricken by a bullet
When they split, asteroids sometimes leave a pickup that enables triple shoot mode!
Wandering enemies aim and shoot at you or leave freeze mines— beware!
Health bar — yet unlimited lives for now
Score and time counters
Original soundtrack specially crafted for the occasion

You need to have Love2D installed to be able to play the game. Find install instructions here : love2d.org

After installing Love2D, simply run the executable .love file and enjoy!
